A dynamic event connecting youth with mentors across industries through meaningful conversations, career insights, and hands-on learning experiences.
Our 2026 Cohort 1, Pathways to Purpose, centered on professional development and empowering youth to expand their knowledge of diverse career pathways. Throughout the cohort, participants engaged in meaningful learning experiences designed to build confidence, strengthen skills, and support informed decision-making about their futures.
To conclude the cohort, we hosted a Speed Mentorship Event, where participants had the opportunity to connect directly with mentors across a range of industries. This experience allowed them to engage in thoughtful conversations, explore their interests, and gain valuable, real-world advice from professionals in their desired fields.
During our Speed Mentorship Event, participants had the opportunity to hear from a panel of young entrepreneurs who shared their journeys into building their own businesses. The discussion highlighted what inspired them to get started, the steps they took to turn their ideas into reality, and the challenges they’ve navigated along the way.
Panelists also spoke candidly about how they balance running a business with other responsibilities, offering practical insights and relatable advice. This conversation gave participants a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship while encouraging them to think creatively about their own goals and potential career paths.
Advocate for Yourself
Self-advocacy is essential. People need to understand the value you bring to a team or opportunity, so don’t be afraid to speak up about your strengths, skills, and achievements.
Know Yourself
You can’t confidently choose a career path without first understanding yourself. Take time to reflect on your strengths, weaknesses, interests, and values, this clarity helps guide better decisions about your future.
Build Relationships and Ask Questions
Networking and mentorship matter. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, seek guidance, and connect with people in fields you’re interested in, these relationships can open unexpected doors.
Be Open to Exploration
Your first choice doesn’t have to be your final destination. Exploring different interests, opportunities, and experiences can help you discover paths you may not have considered before.
At our Speed Mentorship Event, we presented the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards to recognize young leaders showing creativity, initiative, and passion for building impactful ideas and ventures.
This year’s winners were Michelle and Sequoia, who stood out for their innovation, drive, and commitment to entrepreneurship.
Congratulations to both recipients on this well-deserved recognition, we look forward to what you’ll accomplish next.
