Who We Are
Girl Impact is a community organization serving young black women and girls. Our focus is to establish a safe space to share our stories, Build essential skills to navigate academic and professional settings and foster ongoing personal development. We are a sisterhood community that uplifts and supports one another’s journey towards greater self-assurance. Our Collective effort creates a ripple effect, inspiring positive change as we mutually influence and recognize the significant value of our voices as young women and girls.
Our Mission
At Girl Impact, our mission is to empower young women and girls by providing personal and professional development tools they need to thrive. We create safe, supportive spaces where girls can grow in confidence, find their voice, and share their stories without judgement.
Our Vision
We envision a future where the gap between education and life readiness is bridged and every girl supported, celebrated and prepared to lead.
Our Pillars
Sisterhood
We are a community of young women and girls that value authenticity, vulnerability and kindness.We support, celebrate one another and are a listening ear to each other when in need. We encourage one another to embrace our differences, and there’s never a dull moment spent together!
Mentorship
We focus on themes such as: self-esteem/confidence, Identity/discovering our WHYs, Mental Health and various other to foster personal development. As well as developing skills such as leadership, goal setting, public speaking and many others to enhance our abilities to excel academically and in the workplace environment.
Impact
We immensely value passing on the knowledge, and empowerment to other young women and girls in our own communities. ‘Impact from one girl to the next, brings out the best.
